Mark J. Schnitzler is the principal attorney of Schnitzler Law, LLC. Mark's areas of practice include wrongful death, personal injury, probate litigation, and all aspects of trusts and estates. Mark’s aggressive and thoughtful strategies to address complicated legal issues has resulted in outstanding success throughout his career. We have compiled a team of professionals, including CPA’s, engineers and medical professionals, that provide the necessary support for all of our most complex cases. Our team achieves outstanding results when we encounter complicated cases involving trusts and estates, probate litigation (including undue influence) and personal injury. Mark's work in the areas of wrongful death and personal injury matters has been recognized and listed in the top attorneys in this area by SuperLawyers®.

Mark received his J.D., cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003 where he was a member of the Probate Law Journal and he was selected to represent the university in national mock trial competitions. Throughout law school, Mark worked for a New York real estate firm performing hundreds of real estate closings in New York and Connecticut. After graduating from law school, Mark began his legal career as captive litigation counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He then joined the Stamford Connecticut office of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman and Dicker, LLP where he litigated complex insurance, product and general liability matters. He spent the next decade at a prestigious law firm in the Town of Greenwich, where he was a Partner in the litigation and personal injury department. Mark's demeanor and vast knowledge of the legal process, eases his clients' concerns and allows him to clearly communicate complicated issues to clients, opposing counsel and courts.

Mark lives in Fairfield with his wife, two children and dog. Mark is admitted to the bars of the States of Connecticut and New York. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York. Mark is former president of the Greenwich Bar Association, is a member of the Connecticut and Fairfield County Bar Associations and is a member of the Town of Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Mark volunteers to serve as the Secretary of the Executive Board of Connecticut Rugby. Connecticut Rugby is an organization that oversees and provides support for existing and new high school and youth rugby programs. The board’s goal is to grow the sport of rugby in the State of Connecticut.
